Laura Smith’s practice is focused on medical dermatology.  She is an expert at understanding, diagnosing and treating disease processes of the skin.

Laura graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in Genetics and then went on to graduate from East Carolina University with a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

She has volunteered in the past for community skin cancer screenings as well as spoken to groups about maintaining good skin health along with providing knowledge about detecting skin cancers. She is a firm believer in regular skin exams as skin is our largest organ! She provides patients with the education and information needed so they can better understand their condition and course of treatment.

Personal Background 

Laura has been practicing since 2013 where she started off in her home state of North Carolina but then moved to and practiced in New York for the last 5 years. She and her husband are now happy to be back in North Carolina to stay.
